The KC Intelligence record label “The Kc Intelligence” and recording studio ‘Sunshine Sound Studios” began in 2015, with a goal of a return to soul in mind. Motown, Stax, the roots of Blues & Funk. Stripped down sound relying on the groove, song writing and the performances of real musicians.

In the past year Krandal has had 5 new projects by 5 artist under The Kc Intelligence Label, which includes his first solo record “Turn That Radio Off.” With many more releases coming in 2016, the Kc Intelligence has just begun!

Krandal Crews has been working in the entertainment industry for the past 20 years in music, television and film. His early days were spent playing the LA club scene with his first band out of high school “Bad Kitchen”. They were a blend of the mod, ska music of the mid 80’s. Crews then wanted to pursue a more rooted sound influenced by Sly Stone and The Staples Singers so he formed the band “Momma Stud” in 1988.

“Momma Stud” was signed to Virgin Records in 1990 and released their debut album “Cockadoodledo”. They toured and played around the world with many diverse acts such as No Doubt, Chili Peppers, Al Green, Nirvana and Ziggy Marley. During this time Krandal became passionate about the behind the scenes recording/engineering process and enrolled in UCLA’s recording engineering program.

Upon finishing school he secured a job with Hans Zimmer’s company Media Ventures where he was able to delve more into the specifics of music composing, engineering and editing.

By 1997 Krandal’s interests changed, with a focus on sound for animation. Krandal became the Supervising Sound Engineer for Nickelodeon Studios, MTV Networks. Crews worked on such hits as, SpongeBob SquarePants, Invader Zim, Fairly OddParents, Rugrats and various others.

His most recent work has been under the Cartoon Network umbrella working on such hits as Adventure Time, Regular Show and Robot Chicken to name a few.
